More power to the artists

The music industry is changing rapidly. The business models are very different compared to only ten years ago, and the way music is produced and distributed changed radically over the last five years. Artists need to spend time interacting with their fans and need to consider new platforms regularly. In 2020, the major labels controlled almost 60-70% of the world's available content of music, and Spotify continues to grow larger, more than 100 Million users were reported in 2019.

To be seen and heard as an artist and at the same time keeping up inspiration and creativity is not easy. As a thoughtful and new indie label, we are exploring new ways to support and protect the integrity of artists. Gothenburg has become a playground for talented and creative people and as such, it is the perfect location for an entrepreneurial indie label like Sherikan Music. We have started the work to build a passionate community and we are taking the lead in creating a new era for the record industry with more power to the artists.

If you are interested in sharing your work or becoming part of our community, please send us a memo with links. We have plenty of ideas and a vision for what we like to achieve, but we also need your ideas and contribution to succeed in creating something fantastic. You can join the community in any shape or form, as long as it contributes to the community.

You can be signed by our indie label Sherikan Music, but we can also help you in creating your own label and benefit from our community. We welcome songwriters, musicians, bands, solo artists, music producers, composers, studio owners, dancers, song coaches, makeup artists, photographers, filmmakers, booking agents, legal firms specialized in music rights and intellectual property, event creators, PR agents, journalists, radio channels, influencers, web designers, travel agencies and more will be added which we may not even be aware of that can contribute to the community.
